3 Must-See Shops in Amsterdam's De Pijp

Perhaps my Dutch heritage makes me partial to Amsterdam, but as far as I'm concerned this little nook of the world has shops on a different level of cool than anywhere else. It's not only the aesthetic, but the selection of goods that draws me in and creates an overwhelming desire to have everything.

Wandering around Amsterdam's trendy neighborhood "de Pjip" I stumbled upon 3 must-see shops that catered to my three obsessions: clothing, jewelry, and all things healthy. Each of these shops is totally different, and so beautiful that I'd gladly pitch a tent inside an call them home if I could.

Circle of Trust

The concept shop is located at Ferdinand Bolstraat #47 and also has a great online store.

Circle of Trust was founded in 2005 with one main focus: creating unique denim for male, female and kids wearable for everyone. Their mission is to let you fall in love with their clothing and make you feel good while wearing it. Their apparel is best described as sexy, tough and fashionable, and they are known for their style, the perfect fit, and lovely details for an affordable price.

Lofty, spacious, and industrial, this concept-shop is filled with the softest shirts in lovely, pastel tones, funky, platformed Superga sneakers, a collection of le Spec's to drool over, and an array of home decor, candles, throws, and body products.

all the luck in the world

This charming, little shop drew in me from the streets with their tables of sparkly, dainty jewelry and I found a trove of other treasures inside. All of the collections are part of All the Luck in the World Studio, made and designed locally in Amsterdam and under their own product label which means you can only find these wonderful finds here. In addition to the stellar collection of affordable bracelets, earrings, and necklaces, you'll find some cool bags, home decor, and other knick-knacks you never knew you needed until now.

This funky shops feels like you're in your trendy grandmother's living room. Vintage tables and dressers are used to display the goods, lush, overgrown plants fill corners and hang from the ceiling, and the shelves and surfaces are positively crammed with creativity. Best of all, there was not an item inside I didn't think was going to be more expensive than it was! A pleasant surprise when shopping for truly one on a kind goods abroad.

YAY

Could there be a better name for a shop to stumble upon and find it full of your wildest, vegan dreams? YAY is an earthy, colorful little oasis of all things health: yoga clothes, vegan cookbooks, all natural beauty products and nail polishes, and some beautiful home decor too. The best surprise was the raw-vegan cafe tucked in the back serving up some serious healthy eats in a colorful, cozy dreamland complete with dreamcatchers, succulents, exotic prints and twinkle lights. It looks like the dream living room of a serious cool-girl bachlorette pad.

The store entrance for YAY is at Gerard Doustraat 74, the cafe entrance is at Albert Cuypstraat 101-103
